Overview

The level 4 and level 5 management and entrepreneurship courses are equal to the first two years of an undergraduate program, allowing students to advance to the school’s undergraduate degree program’s final year.

Our 240-credit online level 4 and level 5 diplomas in computer technology and networking consist of 10 modules and six written tasks at level 4 and six modules and six written assignments at level 5, respectively. The goal of the course is to give you the knowledge and abilities you need to complete a full undergraduate degree and work in the IT industry as a network and infrastructure expert. Students will have access to a range of support services while they complete the course, including tutor support, webinars, a social learning forum, and supplemental materials to aid in finishing their diploma course.

The purpose of this module is to assist students gain an awareness of the models and principles of human computer interaction. They will also examine current HCI designs and principles in order to better plan their own prototype multimedia user interface.

Society and IT

This subject studies trends and developments brought about by technology and looks at how they affect society. It will look at management problems and potential conflicts in terms of data management and security.

Theory and application of information systems

The project management components covered in this module are crucial for the effective planning and execution of particular IT projects.

Informational management systems

Understanding information system concepts and how they meet business demands in terms of information processing and data processing are the main goals of this module.

Technopreneurship

This unit aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to launch a new technological venture. Understanding the characteristics of entrepreneurs, planning, marketing, and finance are all part of it.

Network safety

This unit aims to teach learners about network security issues in a networked environment, as well as the process of preventing and detecting common security incidents.

Programming in C#.NET

This unit aims to teach students the fundamental concepts and principles of ASP.NET programming in C#. This will teach students how to create dynamic web pages using server-side programming techniques.

Administration of Systems

The knowledge required to administer a system in Linux and Windows is to be provided through this unit. User and group management, file system administration, task automation, shell scripting, DHCP servers, mail servers, domain name servers, file and printer sharing, fundamental utilities and tools, application management, registry, local and group policies, backup and restore policies, and performance tuning are among the topics covered.

Switching and Routing in the Network

This lesson teaches students how to set up and configure a router and switches to link a multi-area network. It also teaches students the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform switching and routing. The course covers Open Shortest Path First, Improved Interior Gateway Routing Protocol, and Router Information Protocol (RIP) in relation to computer networks (OSPF).

Network Administration and Design

This lesson seeks to give learners the information and abilities they need to construct a network, i.e., how to scale and link various networks in order to create a useful interconnecting network. Hierarchical network design, diagnosing network performance difficulties, and gathering network requirements are all covered.

Students will have the chance to apply for admission to a full BA degree program at a number of UK institutions after completing this course. Students may also choose to do our level 4/5 business management diploma and then go on to one of many UK institutions to earn a BA as a top-up.

There are six modules and six written tasks in the level 3 course. Each module has 40 hours of guided learning content and an extra 30 to 50 hours of optional content, which includes suggested exercises, readings, online resources, and self-testing activities.

You must be at least 18 and have completed your secondary school in order to enroll in the level 4 course. You must have completed a level 4 course or its equivalent before enrolling in the level 5 one.

The level 4/5 IT and networking course is made up of 6 written assignments at each level. The assignments are approximately 2,000-3,000 words each.

  4. Computer graphics editing and database concepts
  5. Logical IT networking
  6. Web design

The assignment unit titles for the level 5 course are:

  2. Network security
  3. C#.NET programming
  4. System administration
  5. Network routing and switching
  6. Network design and administration

Students will hone their programming, systems analysis and design, and software development skills while taking this course. Students who successfully complete the program may pursue careers in IT in either the public or commercial sector.
