Foundation

In this module, a variety of topics are covered, such as factors, duplicates, and prime numbers, rounding and estimation, fractions and mixed numbers, percentage, indices, algebraic expressions, equations, formulas, and inequalities, linear sequence data, charts, shapes and angles, transformations, area and volume, compound measures, circles, displaying and interpretation of data, and probability.

Preparing for the Next Level

This module includes topics such as percentages, indices, and standard form, linear algebra expressions, equations, formulae, and inequalities, nonlinear sequences, graphs and functions, construction and loci, circles, cylinders, cones, and spheres, similarity and congruence, Pythagoras and trigonometry, vectors, partiality and sampling, grouped frequency tables, and probability.

Mastering the Advanced Level

This module includes topics such as decimals and place values, working with roots, algebraic phrases, quadratics, more calculations and inequalities, quadratic and other non-linear sequences, graphs and functions, circle scientific theories, similar shapes, transformations, Pythagoras and trigonometry, vectors, interquartile range, histograms, and probability.

Exam Planning

This module prepares students for tests by giving exam papers to go through, including Foundation and Higher Tier exam papers.

Students should secure their spot at an exam center to sit the Edexcel GCSE Mathematics (1MA1 specification) test approximately 6 months before the exam date.

Exam fees are not included in the course cost because they are paid to the exam center directly. They will differ based on the center you pick.

Students who complete this course will have the foundations and core knowledge required to study A levels or a Level 3 certificate with Online Business School.

The average age range for completing the IGCES is 14 to 16, however anybody beyond the age of 14 can enroll in this course. You also do not need any prior qualifications to take this course.
